In Soviet Russia grass dreams you!
Tread softly – Tiny grass is dreaming puppy dreams.
Tiny grass is dreaming and has disguised itself as sand.
No Hullabuloo, the grass is asleep.
Dreaming because too much tiny grass!
Russian text reads “Not an entry”, which is also very funny 🙂
What grass?
What do you dream to become when you grow up?
Does tiny grass dream of electric sheep?
If you disturb the tiny grass you’ll have your toes cut off by the tiny lawnmowers
I think it’s having dirty dreams…
Dream a little dream of grass..
“I have a dream…! A dream where all grasses are created equal…!”
The real secret here: The grass is having disturbing dreams.
Whoa, I just blew my mind.
If the grass dreams, I’m not going to walk on dewy lawns now!
what does it say in russian ?
We’re catching Z’s beneath the trees.
So keep your ass off the grass.
How long have you been having these dreams?
So tiny you can’t see it yet.
garudamon11 – Russian, Nye v’khod, means just “don’t tread on”.
I hope they’re dreaming of being a 50-foot tall Pampas grass, flying in color, and drag racing school buses!
Actually, the Russian is broken, too – it’s literally translated as “not the entrance”.
But riding your bike on it is okay.
Whoa, I just had this crazy dream I was a tiny grass. What’s that noise? Huh? A mower? Hey wait…
The Russian says “do not enter”. I love that it doesn’t elaborate, like the other languages. Just GTFO.
The tiny glass is always full.
Colorless green ideas sleep furiously.
And in his house at R’lyeh, dead Cthulhu lies dreaming.
in russian it says : not entrance
If you step behind this sign, you’ll hear the tiny screaming.
Is the grass dreaming it is dirt, or dirt dreaming it is grass?
The Russian says “No Entrance”. (at least that’s what I read). Interesting translation.
I actually think that is kinda sweet.
Tiny Grass dreams of watching Paint Dry
you might disturb the smurfs..so no scaring the sleeping grass
Careful, the grass may shriek when wet
Funny… if you speak English, you may enter, but do not disturb the tiny grass. Now, if you’re Russian, you’re just not allowed to enter, and this is it! I wonder what the Chinese part says.
If you wake up tiny grass, huge grass will come to kill you.
So tuck it in and put out the light.
The Chinese says “The grass is resting, please don’t disturb”
The Japanese is odd, too… It says, “Taking a break. Please do not knock.”
What caught my attention is, most Chinese signs about “not treading on grass” on this site are on the theme of “do not disturb the plants”. Judging from my Chinese character knowledge, the original Chinese texts also do say that.
Slumber in the Grass (directed by Elia Kazan).
This actually have no problem in English as the translator really did his job quite well that translated the meaning of Chinese.
this is actually beautiful…
hi~everyone!I am chinese from hongkong. The chinese is actually saying “grass is resting, please dont disturb”. Except for the ‘resting’ and ‘dreaming’ part, whether you believe it or not :- the translation is fine!(sounds weird tho, i know)
…dreaming how to become a tree and then to become a furniture and then to enter your house…
Someone must have really disturbed that area, I don’t see any grass.
dreaming of being puffed by snoop dogg
so is dew a wet dream?
Ahhh… They’re so cute when they’re sleeping.
