Oh, that’s just awful. Since this is a ramen shop (written “raamen”), I’m sure this started out as an omni-present L/R confusion and somehow picked up an extra ‘w’ on the way. Most likely a failed spelling correction. ( – _ -;;)

I cannot count how MANY times, when I lived in Japan, the word “Ramen” was spelled “Larmen” in Engrish.

Next time I visit Japan to visit extended family, I’d like to drop in there and get me some noodles. Perhaps even the Tantanmen you recommend. Do they happen to serve Nagasaki Chanpon or Nagasaki Sara-Udon?
