When I was young, and woke up with an erection every morning. The redecorating of the walls, the ceiling, and anything else in the little room, when trying to pee, was a distinct possibility.

There was a Motel on the Esplanade in Cairns, in the 60s, (now gone in the redevelopment of that area) called the Intercontinental. ‘Twas only average, but a cheap enough place to stay for a young bloke. Cairns was still a wild old place in those days. The International Game Fishing Set was just discovering the place. I am sure the difference between US and Imp. gallons is etched in my mind forever. A Cessna 182RG has 92 US Gallons in the 2 wing-tanks. I did my flight-plan on the assumption of 92 Imp. Gallons. Thus, had I not been totally aware of my fuel burn, and arranged for a fuel top-up, I would have made a hole in the ground of regional NSW .
