We were tearing down the venue, after a PATEFA seminar and conference. A pop-band due to perform that night was tuning up.
One of the solo instrumentalists was a lady, who played the violin.. Over their Amps and Mics, (about three times as loud as an F18 on afterburners) we were hearing this (music?).
I never knew, that an otherwise innocuous piece of wood, bits of metal, and catgut, coulld make such exercrable sounds. It was a revelation, after having heard Vengerov.

Useless info: A normal Violin/String Quartet is comprised of; Violin I; Violin II; Viola, and cello.
If you want a “bottom file”, perhaps you should use a Double Bass, instead of a Cello.
