The swimming beard already knows, and he told me this,
so I read that sign for nothing.

By “this area” we mean anywhere within a 1 foot radius of the sign. There is a treaty among the see monsters that that’s a safe zone.

In Thai, the sign says ,”Danger! Do not go down to the sea.”
Good translation all round.

Perhaps they mean it’s not dangerous to swim on dry land – it looks like this sign stands in the middle of water and it’s turned away from the coast.

But reading this sign is very dangerous.
Why? We can’t say.

Actually, the warning in Thai translates to “dangerous, do not swim in this area”. This is like a sick joke to people who can’t read Thai. And the language below English is Cambodian, I believe.

After guessing the language (Thai) tediously entering it into Google Translate using handwriting input (I don’t know Thai), I managed to get a workable translation.
อันตรายห้ามลงเล่นน้ำ บริเวณนี้
DO NOT swim area.
Just wanted to clear things up.
I didn’t translate the graffiti, as it is not only too much work, but I think I will mess up because the lettering is less precise and hard for me to interpret.
Talking about the sign only, the beach is apparently safe
Actually, the sign says (in Thai) “Dangerous DO NOT swim in this area”
I don’t know how they translated into so much different meaning. Maybe beta version of google translate?
The scribble at the bottom is Khmer language.

The actual translation would be DANGER! DO NOT SWIM IN THIS AREA I wonder how many tourists drown after the sign went up? ToT..
The piranhas are a different story.
Except for rips
Is it safe to drown?
