Rabbits certainly do what they do do well.
I have the figures from a mathematician, that if you start off with a breeding pair – assuming everone lives for three years – at the end of three years you have a cuple of hundred thousand adults, and over 2 million kittens. At the end of six months when the youngsters start breeding, then the numbers REALLY do , do start to increase.
I don’t know if I can reproduce the figures here, for they are on a two page wide spreadsheet.

Apparently the NZ Army did a psychological test on army personnel a few years ago. They gave each group of six a rabbit, and sent them out into the bush. Results: 1.
