What they meant to say was “Old Beijing People Soup” aka soilent green.
The cookbook “Beijing Cuisine” has been recalled today due to an unfortunate printing error. Step four on page 23 should read “Bring soup to a boil”, and not “Bring boils to the soup.” as it appears in the text. The publisher regrets any gastrointestinal distress this may have caused.
