I noticed that the photo was taken in Mito…famous for another known Japanese wanderer, Mito Komon, lead character in a popular Japanese TV show that has been on for decades. (Although the original cast was the best and later casts left a lot to be desired.) For captioners who currently or have lived for long periods in Japan and know the language and culture, no further explanation needed.
